October 2011 30th Day
South Windsor, CT
No one expected to see snow storms before Halloween, but they are finding a cold chill horror story as millions are effected by the recent snow storm from Maine to Maryland. It's been called " an unseasonably early nor'easter." Three days of snow has caused power outages to over a million homes. This means that it's no way many have heat inside their houses. Weather experts are calling the storm fierce and historic! It's no great surprize to many that have been experiencing unpredictable weather patterns... Yet, so much also is the combination of man and weather which makes battling the elements singing a surrender's song. Record snowfall for October has the region of the country hardest hit causing damage to trees and home alike. Without any power leaves a weight of white and darkness, cold winds and chilly long nights. 750,000 in Conneticut broke a record for power losses to residents ZOOM!... As for trick or treaters well I don't think many will find a trick or treat in either tracking snow or bracing the cold. This storm impact has covered New Hampshire's capital Concord with more than 22 inches deep. The wait may long and lengthy as electric and gas utility companies tell their customers the wait for power storage will not be a short one. Before it's all over; 3 million peoples houses may feel the impact of the snow storm before and after Halloween.
ZOOM!! ZOOM! What can say or do?
"They may like to fly away"
~O_O~ "I'm a world watcher."
Sending up prayers.
