If there something to rave about it's about time! Nation wide the movie box offices made hits of the first showing in theaters of it's showing of Red Tails opening on Friday, January 20, 2012. Producer George Lucas made an appearance on the Daily Show where he noted that Hollywood studios were unwilling to finance a Black war moive with an all Black cast. So Lucas used his own money of 100 million dollars to finance the production. Movies goers in the Black communites showed their support and came by the bus loads to see the movie. This is accountable for the 6million opening night. In addition the movie was privately screen at the White House with President Obama and film guest actors Cuba Goodin, Jr, Terrance Howard, and Director Anthony Hemingway. Along with great reviews and opinions Tyler Perry said that "All black casts are on the verge of extinson...if this suceeds at the box office Lucas believes it will help Black filmakers get the green light on their pictures more easily.
