How about a KISS?

Because a new latest study indicated that all lipstick brands tested contained some contents of lead. Lead has been banned from paints since 1978 due it's toxicity at low levels. Now a latest study show that most all brands of lipsticks tested still contain lead is being used by millions of women around the world everyday. The study was analyzed by The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics for U.S. Food and Drug Adminstration released that out of all 400 brands of lipsticks tested positive for lead. The FDA did note there is no accurate safety amount for lipsticks with lead and this latest study does not propose any potential threat or danger to health and safety by women who use lipsticks. Out of the 400 brands tested L'Oreal "Color Sensationals" Petal Pink had the highest amount of lead with 7.19 parts per million. The entire study results will be published in the issue of the May/June of The Journal of Cosmetic Science.

Recently a lipstick brand called 'Red Earth' Decreased their prices from $67 to $9.90. It contained lead. Lead is a chemical which causes cancer.

The lipstick brands that contain lead are:
CHRISTIAN DIOR
LANC�ME
CLINIQUE
Y.S.L (Yves Saint Laurent)
ESTEE LAUDER
SHISEIDO
RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)
CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)
MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.

The higher the lead content, The greater the chance of causing cancer. After doing a test on lipsticks, It was found that the Y.S.L. Lipstick contained the most amount of lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay longer. If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the higher content of lead. Here is the test you can do yourself:

1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick colour changes to black,
4. Then you know the lipstick contains lead.

This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre. Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer, especially breast cancer.

wELL AS IT WAS NOT A BIG DEAL during th elast administration , because it just said it cound not afford to provide the inspectors...I wonder if this will get even any play either? (nup)

WHAT, NO RECALL SO IT MUST NOT INVOLVE ANY CHEAP PRODUCTS JUST TOO MUCH$$$$$$$ TO BE LOST TO EVEN CARE, RIGHT?...

Thanks my beautiful almost perfect daughter for confirming my first thought on a recall right away would cost too mcuh $$$$$ as it seems reputations are at stake here...and, as a rule many, many people have to die before things like this comes out in order to protect the 'brand'...from toys to car makers in America...
