Greece
The ceremonial Olympic torch lighting was never any more impressive than on it's May 10th 2012 splendor. Considered a sacred day the ancient ceremony was most impressive. Greek dignitaries and COE head of the London committees gathered to watch the lovely peformance as Greek actress, Ino Menegaki made a marvelous impression along with the whole stage of beautiful women. There also were wonderful dancers . Although the torch had to be relighted because of high winds, it never interrupted the ceremony; and it was continued with such elegance. The torch relay begins in Olympia and will travel through Greece before being flown to Great Britian covering over 8,000 miles in that country. London is the hostess of the 2012 Summer Games and Olympics

How beautiful it was to see her release the dove into flight...
