Memorial Day 2012 will have Memphis police officers conducting roadside checkpoints which will be targeting drunk drivers. So thereby drivers if you’re going to be driving along those checkpoints beware your may be pulled over and given some alcohol check tests. Because federal law requires making aware of the checkpoints for impaired drivers under the influence you’ll know exactly where they’ll be checking out the drivers who may be DUI. Just for the point of origins of the checkpoints drivers in Memphis will need to know that on May 31, 2012 from 8-10 one location will be Kirby-Whitten between Reese and Raleigh-LaGrange road. The other location is from 11p.m.-1 a.m. at Hacks Cross and Winchester Road.

If you live locally in Memphis you may have by chance to checkpoints of the gas pumps. The prices have been checking down to some lower gas rates! Memphis is one of the best places around the U.S. to buy gas because Memphis has topped the best average low on gas prices. The average gallon of gas is rated at $3.34 cents, but on the national average has Memphis checking here at 44 cents lower than the national average. The outlook ahead is even better because the prices in Memphis are expected to check down even lower. With all the competition to have checkpoint drivers into stopping at the pumps; many convenience stores are checking down their prices in an effort to draw in the drivers. It’s a key strategy among the nation’s 144,000 convenience stores to check in the customers even if it means lowering down the gas prices. The lure in on also, is to have the Memorial Day tourists stopping by for a fueling check point.
“Checking the points we’re adding up your reading.”... I guess? If you’re a Memphian your gas tank will give you some extra checkpoints on getting your gas cheaper than any where in the nation…

Local News Casters are into checkpoints as far as checking up their ratings of tuning you into watching their newscasts. Local television news stations WREG, WMC, AND FOX stations are engaging in earning extra points with the best news source. The ratings race for prime time watching has WREG checking in with top viewers in time slots from 4:30 p.m to 5 and it’s 10p.m broadcasts. WMC won first spot in it’s 6 p.m broadcast and Fox topped the checkpoint with it’s 9 p.m. broadcast. On the average these ratings represents about 6,700 households. Some the checks watchers are winning too .. with games which are totaling in checks for money totaling for a local winner of $10,000 bucks!
