Nearly 10,000 men, women and children have perished needlessly in bombing and attacks from the soldiers of the regime whom as prevailed over their lives and their deaths without worthy cause. In the effort to stop the violence world leaders and peace activists are in a gnashing of teeth to entire Syrian people and their government to find ways for peace and to saving innocent victims caught in the days of terror.
In Damasus Envoy Kofi Annan told the security council that the Syria crisis will spiral out of control if more pressure is not placed on the regime. Talks on Friday with US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton met to persuade Moscow to back President Bashar-al-Assad’s removal from power. A diplomat quoted from Annan told the council “The longer we wait, the darker the future looks for Syria.” According to recent reports the Syrian army surrounded the village in which 55 people were killed in assault on Al-Kubeir, a small village Sunni farming enclave surrounded by Alawite villages in the central province on Hama. Damascus has denied any responsibility to the violence and massacre. Apparently, little control of the killings are coming to an end and leaves the Syrians in a crisis of a breaking point. The Syrian people are bleeding, dying and they are angry. They want peace and dignity. These are the words spoken from the Ban after the UN meeting.
Syria’s president spoken in a televised broadcast on Sunday placed blame on “terrorists” and “outside forces” were the cause of the bloodshed. Assad holds to his innocence and has pledged to continue to fight against armed terroists. The UN also continues to monitor what is happening in Syria’s crisis of what appears to be uncontrollable killings. as diplomatic efforts have been increased since the massacre at Houla 9 days ago. An investigation has discovered pro-regime forces were likely responsible for at least some of the killings. Assad quoted from his televised broadcast “ What happened in Houla and elsewhere are brutal massacres which even monsters would not have carried out.” The UN estimates that more than 9,000 people have been killed since last year when Assad launched a crackdown on protestors calling for political reforms.
