TRUE LIFE SITUATIONS: DRIVER'S FATIGUE (569 hits)

The automobile has certainly many more benefits that the original maker had ever possibly imagined. Technology has given much change to the crank, clutch and push off started by ingenuity of inventors years past. The total operation of movement has resulted in a transportation era of changes throughout years of experimenting and testing of cars. That's just a small basis of how the automobile has surely come a long way. Now vehicles have even more to offer, with perks like heated seats, in the winter and cool air-conditioning during hot summer drives. Stereos, and music speakers can keep you in a zone of total isolation on wheels, not to mention mobile phones like those of On Starr and tracking devices which can locate your car and the newest keyless models where you can press a button, or start your car from a extended mile radius.

Drivers have more reasons to be moreso defensive as people talk and text on cell phones and are dazed with captivating thoughts to lead their minds everywhere to else. I'll tell you can become whipped with traffic goings and comings that you can have a "bout of driver's fatigue." While waiting to fill my gas tank today, I'd waited for a man to clear the pump area, as he starts driving right toward me never seeing I was sitting there, he continued driving to approach me never recognizing I was in front of him. I could only think to do one thing...I BLEW MY HORN LOUDLY AND LONG!! He missed hitting my car within inches! Of course, I don't know what was going on with him, but it was enough to distract his driving. "I was a bit shakey"... So I thought I better get the gas and go home. If you're tired of driving, or working more than one job; try some other form of transportation like car pooling, catching the bus; or do like I do -- get your proper rest to stay focused. It's a true life situation; you can get very tired of driving ...especially if you don't share driving with a family member, even then, you still can get pretty tired. Be safe and watch out for you and the other guy. Technology, can't give you a rest, that's up to you to know when you need an absence from the wheels.
