POETRY SUNDAY: MUSES STIR WORDS (426 hits)

When I first began writing poems, and poetry I never thought of a muse. In fact, it was years later I discovered what a muse could be. I actually had not heard of the word or it's meaning. As I found that plain rhyming was all I had written down. Which I find is a fine way to write a poem. Yet, discovering a muse gives and extenstion to words in verse. It's develops inspiration and thought and travels inwardly, outwardly and into places that your imagination explores in paramounted expenditions. You can actual travel in deep thoughts for expression! For some writers of verse there are many muses, others have access to only connect to one. These are usually from the elements of earth, wind, fire, water , spirit or, Word,-- of course music is a dynamic spiritual muse of thoughts. These stir our words.

MUSE: The spirit that is thought to inspire a poet or other artist, source of genius or inspiration.

MUSIC PLAY

Traveling upon the sound
of the string,
the dancing was notes of joy.
These bounced the eardrums.
Which made a beating...beating..
beating..
The puppets were from the body of
music play and the stage curtain
opened with such array.
Seeing the music play traveling
along in mystic but comforting sounds
Came from the audience a satisfying applause.

BRIDE...because you have the powers to turn any and all things into poetry, "I" believe the definition of 'muse' would only limit your talents. (smile)

example, Mystic=spiritual= unexplainable to/ for me...
