Kimora Lee Simmons, Djimon Hounsou Split.......... WHAT > (372 hits)

After months of speculation, the love story between Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou is officially over.

The couple, who denied break-up rumors as recently as this past June, are going their separate ways after nearly six years together. "Though never married, they have one child together, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, who is three and a half years old," Kimora's rep confirms to Us Weekly.

"There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon and I have been separated for some time," Simmons shared in a statement on Twitter Wednesday. "We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends and family. We all have much to be thankful for."

Among the rumors circulating about the cause of their split is fighting over money and Kimora's friendly relationship with ex-husband Russell Simmons, with whom she has two daughters, Ming Lee, 12, and Aoki Lee, 10.

“Kimora stuck Djimon with keeping track of the three kids while she socialized with her ex," a source said over the summer, while another claimed, “Kimora lives as if she’s the Queen of England,” and that the couple had a "big fight over money."

Simmons and Hounsou, however, have both denied rumors of strife over money and infidelity. In July, Hounsou said that "any and all claims are totally fabricated and for the press to be spreading these lies is irresponsible on their part.”
