Wednesday, August 28th marks the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, a touchstone of the American Civil Rights Movement. The march, which had religious leaders, labor organizers and celebrities joining a sea of demonstrators that numbered in the hundreds of thousands, culminated in Martin Luther King Jr’s keynote “I Have A Dream” speech.
