November 2013
China
Yutu means Jade Rabbit
That Jade Rabbit as in space rover. The Chinese will be sending a rover to check out the moon's surface sometime in the near future in December 2013. As part of it's participation in the space exploration plan the rover will do similar tasks as gathering rock samples and photos of the moon's surface. The Chinese are excited by it's newest rover and the name has a connection too. Jade Rabbit or Yutu which is its definition is based on a Chinese folkfore story dating back to the Warring period of Chinese history 221 B.C. according to news sources . A moon rabbit indicates signs of agility, pureness and kindness. More of this moon rabbit will be told as laughing plans draws nearer.
