Murrieta, CA
A crowd of protestors brought signs and a standoff as three bus loads carrying migrants who had cross to border to shelters in the city of Murrieta, CA. The roadblock standoff were citizens of the town who would not let the buses through despite of orders by police. The bus load of migrants carrying mostly women and children were not allowed to cross the roadblock as protestors stood in numbers shouting they didn't want them in their town and other anti-migrants slurs. However, in another protest were those who wanted to greet their arrival shouted let them through and their wanted them to have refuge there. The mayor of the city was in agreement that the bus loads of people not come into his hometown said that the group would be a hazard to their community if they were allowed to enter. Finally, after several hours the buses were redirected to take the migrants to another drop off center miles away.
Issues of a growing migrants rate from Salvador and others of Mexico have brought attention to Washington to take some action to deport the migrants even if they are children. President Obama has urged parents of migrant children not to send their children over to the USA borders. In addition, the President has asked Congress for an immediate plan to beef up migrants entering and to give some more resolutions to present migrants already in the states.
