The job application experience can be a nerve-wracking one, and if you’re not careful, there are so many embarrassing mistakes that can be made. For example, a 23-year-old Chicago man who accidentally texted a human resources manager **** selfies of himself.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the HR manager contacted police on August 14 to inform them that the man sent her two **** photos of himself between August 11 and August 13.
“There was a conditional offer of employment made to this particular applicant,” Elmhurst Police Chief Michael Ruth said. “He texted the HR director and sent a **** photo of himself.”
When the man attempted to respond to the offer with a phone call the following day, the manager saw his number on the called ID and realized that he was the **** texter.
“My understanding is they’ve rescinded the offer of employment,” Ruth said.
The texter later told police that he intended to send the messages to someone else and didn’t realize he was sending the photos to the company.
“(Police) contacted the offender who admitted to sending the photographs, explaining they were meant for another individual and were sent to the victim in error,” the police report states. “(Police) advised the offender to cease any contact with the victim.”
Interestingly, Ruth told the Tribune that his department has witnessed in an influx of s*xting-related complaints.
“We’re seeing it much more often now with our young people sending inappropriate photos of themselves,” he said. “They’re sharing it with someone else and the next thing you know it takes on a life of its own.”
The victim did not pursue charges against the job applicant.
