During Sunday Morning Service, Female Minister Learns That Her Husband Married Another Woman (1811 hits)

Four words: hell to the nah. Mitha Plaisimound, 57, attended worship service one April morning, just as she would any other Sunday, but received the shock of her life when the Reverend mounted the podium and announced that her husband of 21 years, Patrick Celicourt, 49, had married another woman.

Members of the End Time Sabbath Worship Center congregation erupted into laughter as Plaisimound ran out of the sanctuary. After getting over the initial shock, Plaisimound began researching. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Plaisimound showed up at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office days later with a copy of her marriage license and a copy of Celicourt’s new license.

“When it became time for the announcements on the altar, they announced that my father ‘Patrick Celicourt’ was newly married to another woman while still being married,” the couple’s daughter said in a sheriff’s report.

Plaisimound also provided evidence that proved Celicourt had tried to sell their home without her knowing. He was arrested Wednesday and charged with bigamy and making false documents. He has since been released on bail.

Records show that Celicourt formally filed for divorce in June. It is unclear if the pastor knew that Celicourt was still married to Plaisimound when he made the announcement.
