The President deserves every penny he makes. His contribution to this nation is priceless.

I agree, the President do deserves every penny he makes but Trump is not above the law of the land and he must acknowledge the emoluments clause.

The emoluments clause, also called the foreign emoluments clause, is a provision of the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 8) that generally prohibits federal officeholders from receiving any gift, payment, or other thing of value from a foreign state or its rulers, officers, or representatives.

The emoluments clause is not about business income.

Steve, don't you understand that Trump is already facing two lawsuits, both as the president and as an individual, for allegedly violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution, which bans elected officials from financially benefitting from foreign governments.

The reason for the The emoluments clause was set up by our founding fathers is a clause to anti-bribery provision that forbids any U.S. president from receiving gifts from foreign leaders and is derived from the Latin word “emolumentum,” meaning “profit” or “gain.”. The Emoluments Clause is Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution.

The question is, Is Donald Trump violating the Constitution?

Among legal scholars, there isn’t much debate: President Trump is violating the Constitution. Since Trump decided to retain full ownership of his business empire, he has been receiving a stream of payments from foreign governments, which is prohibited by Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution.

A federal appeals court panel has unanimously thrown out a lawsuit accusing President Donald Trump of violating the Constitution by continuing to do business with foreign and state governments while serving as president.

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia — who joined together to file the suit against Trump in 2017 — lacked legal standing to object to his alleged violations of the Constitution’s clauses prohibiting receipt of so-called “emoluments” while in office.

The what this administration is doing, slapping the constitution in the face and telling the people, that they are above the law. Steve, don’t you get that feeling?
