Global Advocate Set to Speak at Mayor of Macon-Bibb Council of Clergy for Racial & Economic Justice Luncheon (865 hits)

Macon-Bibb County - Global Advocate Kevin Byrd Set to Speak at Mayor of Macon-Bibb Council of Clergy for Racial & Economic Justice (MCC) Luncheon on Thursday, August 14th, 2005. Mayor Lester M. Miller is the Mayor of Macon Bibb County.

About: Macon-Bibb County, Georgia: Macon-Bibb County is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and strategic location as a transportation hub, earning it the nickname “Heart of Georgia”.

It’s also recognized for its music scene, notable architecture, and diverse culinary offerings. Additionally, Macon-Bibb is becoming increasingly known for its economic development and attracting private investment. Promoting Unity in the community will strengthen ecosystems throughout Macon-Bibb County and increase the sustainability of Macon-Bibb County benefiting current citizens and future generations.
The purpose of the Council of the Mayor’s Clergy is “Building a Better Community”. The vision of the Council of Clergy is to “Promote Unity in the Community by Partnering with Government and Related Agencies”.

The Mission of the Council of Clergy is to “Build a Better Community by Fostering Healthy Racial Relations”. Some of the Mayor’s Council of Clergy priorities are promoting unity in the community, partnering with Macon-Bibb County Government and related agencies, partnering with educational resources, chambers of commerce, and partnering with community organizations.

“I am honored to be presented with an opportunity to speak at the Mayor’s for Racial & Economic Justice luncheon on August 14, 2025. Mayor Lester M. Miller is to be commended for implementing the Power of Partnership and establishing vital community collaborations between Men and Women in Macon-Bibb County”. Kevin Byrd, Founder of the BrownByrd Foundation.

The program schedule is as follows for MCC Luncheon, Welcome, Blessing & Occasion by Rev. Payton Stone, Vice President, Homily by Elder Calvin Arline, Church of God in Christ, Greetings and Update of Macon Bibb County, Mayor Lester M. Miller & Questions, Remarks by Kevin Byrd, Founder, BrownByrd Foundation, Brandi Prestridge, “We are Living Proof”, Remarks by Garrett Williams, SC, Central Georgis Council, BSA, and Announcement by Dr. Henry C. Flicklin, and Closing Remarks and Benediction.

About: BrownByrd Foundation – The Brown Byrd Foundation is dedicated to spreading the awareness of Health across the Country through hands on community service. We take part in many health fairs working in conjunction with other health not for profit foundations, where we all share the same goal of informing the masses about health awareness across the country.

The foundation works with educational institutions and provides friendly health forums for students of all ages in class room setting.
The Brown Byrd Foundation works with local Hospitals offering free health screening annually such as prostate cancer. In addition, The Brown Byrd Foundation has expanded on a global leave with support from our neighboring country of Canada, where through media such as radio, newspaper and the Lighting of Niagara Falls in the color blue has been displayed to support the awareness of prostate cancer.
The foundation has received support overseas from England and even the Pope.
