Black Women, Will You Please, Stop Goin' for Blows Over that Man? (1202 hits)

I'll just cut to the chase here.

I get so sick and tired of women ready to tear each other apart over some dude!!! It's aggravating as hell!!!!

Can we stop the madness??????????? There's nothing more embarrassing to me as a black woman to see two other black women cursing each other out and physically fighting over some guy.

I have a philosophy about such things and before I got married, I said it to every guy I ever dated:

"If I have to even come close to addressing another female behind you or if another female approaches me about you and YOU don't handle it...YOU need to go be with HER because I ain't fightin' over you and no other man."

I meant that, too. Don't book a fight for me, partnah. I won't be disrespecting myself or another woman so you feel better about yourself and feel that important.

I've even said to women who have been with guys I've dated, "Sistah, my problem is not with YOU. YOU'RE not the one who made me promises and had me thinkin' you were faithful. That was HIM and I'll take it up with HIM when I see him." I've had women that I've tried to advise of how stupid it looks to be argueing and fighting when he's just standing back as an entertained spectator. I've even had a few of those women tell me they don't care what it looks like, "She ain't gone disrepeck me!!! This MY man!!!"

Then, my question becomes, "Does HE know he's your man? Because he ain't saying nothin'." Of course, he gets made then and is ready to fight me for calling him out.

Ladies, please, stop making fools of yourselves and stop battling other women behind sorryness. Stop. If he cheats or plays games, charge it to HIM, not HER. She can only do or go as far as HE allows. If you have to demand that he puts her in her place, let that be your first red flag that HE doesn't respect YOU. Demand that somebody else chill out??? Please, if he's as sorry as you think is, that'll be an argument.

YOU respect you...that way you'll know when you're being disrespected...by him or anyone else.

Stop the madness, PUH-LEEZ!!!!

Okay, I'm done venting. I just had to get that out of my system.

Awesome, it sickens me as well. Men do it also, but it's worse to see a Sister do that, we are more known to be the aggressive gender, no things seem to be balancing out in these days and times.
I have heard or known of women or girls that go get their female friends to jump in and wait for a public moment... They promote this stuff on some t.v. shows...
Women are the rubies...

William, I know, right? It boggles my mind how people (especially) women will on national tv just to make fools of themselves behind another person.

I still don't get why ANYONE would go on Jerry Springer!!! LOL. Anyone with even a umpth of sense KNOWS you're not going to get GOOD NEWS! It's sickening.

And don't even get me started on Maury and all those babies' daddies!!! It's ridiculous and shameful.

Dee no woman should lower themselves because no one is worth losing your self respect for, however I have seen this. I believe at times many woman act on emotion and that is what causes this situation most of the time.

Please this is ridiculous. First they need to realize he is just one man not the only man in the world. Besides, as long as they accept his sorry apology, that he will tell both of them and will still continue seeing them both as along as they let him it does not matter. Chances are, while they are fighting over him (which the man is rarely around when this crap happens) he is with the woman that he really wants to be with because she has enough self respect to not lower her standards and engage in this immature behavior. I never have and never will fight over a man.

Dee, this reminds me of the down falls of being married to an only child. When we first came to Ca. My mother-inlaw took over my husband who just began to become an irresponsible "child"in his middle age.When the two of them wondered why me and the children had left...this was my answer..."There is no place in my bed for another woman's child!"

Life time lesson learned by the both them with those few words of truth and determination from me. L-O-V-E or the idea of it nor marriage will over come my personal demand for respect!!! I see any partnership that can not communicate with each other just a waste of valuable time trying to show love,respect in heated hateful dialoge. I do not hve time for this as it gets boring to those who wants to try and put others down just to raise themselves up, if no one shows interested enough to listen to them.
