Racial Inequality Still? (803 hits)

I,ve done research and find that racial discrimination is still very active in 2008. The Black male recieves most of it. This ultimately means that the Black male is the least likely to recieve proper education. Black women next. The over all effect is that Blacks receive less education and therefore have greater poverty. We need now to Demand education as a race. We need to have an education rights movement. I dare anyone to disagree!

Harold,

I've met so many brothers who started or completed their education in jail/prison. It’s not a lack of want that stops us...it’s a lack of access/time. Many times when our lower level needs (Maslow-hierarchy of needs) are not met...things like seeking out education or financial security seem far less important.

I 100% agree… we need an education rights movement…immediately!
But might I add that we also need to fix folks lower level needs at the same time: Food, shelter, violence, legal rights, property rights, drugs/alcohol, etc...

Please Mr. Bridgeforth, your language shows your schooling since 1977. Thats how much more education you may need. You may know the story but do you know the history, if you do, do you know how many other blacks don't? Kidnapped or slaves, we are here now and our generation is fading slowly if we don't stick together and become educated. Truth be told, education is nothing without knowledge of God. Next time brother, maybe you should sleep a little more before you make comments.

Like an education that says Don Lemon is fully qualified to be a CNN anchor? Join in the written mail, emails and phone calls to CNN about this oversite as maybe related to racism-inequality?Can send the same to othe elected officals in state and in Federal office while one is doing this.
