Don't let McCain Win! (808 hits)

No one is perfect, but between Obama and Mccain, which one will be more likely for change? Which one will be more likely to listen to the people? Which one will be more likely to help Blacks? We haven't been to active in politics as a Black race but if there were ever a time it is now. Our future depends on November and the whites want to continue the same racist pattern. We need all Blacks to vote for Obama. If you disagree please let me know why.

I totally agree with you. As much as we 'loved' Bill Clinton, we all saw what it came down to. I really don't understand why we all of a sudden want to get to into the issues when it comes to Barack, but have voted consistantly for white folks without batting an eye. Now, don't get me wrong, we should be into the issues and should have been in the past. But is now the time to start being critical? I don't think so. Until things change a whole lot in this country, we need to go for the brother and then hold him accountable. Most of his policies benefit balck folks; jobs, education, healthcare, and criminal justice. Do we really need for him to spell it out for us and risk alienating the support that he has with all races? I think not!

We cannot be foolish and make it harder for him to be elected. Just the image of a Black man as president changes what our young people can hope for in a profound and real way.
