The Nonsense About Obama's Lack of U S Citizenship (1126 hits)
I'm so tired of seeing posts or blogs (here and elsewhere) about Obama's citizenship. Staunch advocates are making a big deal about some of the most mundane things.
For instance, I read in another blog that people supposedly called him Barry in high school and that person reasoned that it's because his name was Barry Soetero back in Indonesia. Here's what I don't get: he lived in Indonesia with his mother and stepfather from the ages of 6-10. Before that, he was in Hawaii with the mother for part of it and then the grandparents until his mother remarried an Indonesian citizen. Okay, he spent several of his childhood years in Indonesia and came back to America for his raising to be continued by his grandparents. What is the big deal?
As far as being called Barry, why must people jump to the most ridiculous conclusions? I mean, seriously, let's think this through. IF:
Richard = D–ck Robert = Bob Michael = Mike James = Jim Charles = Chuck William = Bill Theodore= Ted John = Jack Henry = Hank Margaret = Maggie, Margie or even Peggy Barbara = Babs or Bobbi
So why on EARTH can't BARack = Barry?
Goodness gracious.
And then there's another issue. ...one that suggests that Barack Obama has been able to get over on the system for ALL THIS TIME. No one can be so out of touch that (s)he lets himself believe that this man was sworn in to the U.S. Senate and NO ONE did a background check. There’s a security screen to serve public office PERIOD…and if he indeed is NOT a U.S. citizen, it would have been revealed LONG before NOW!!! And I know you don't have to be born here to hold a Senate office, but there's still a security clearance level to serve in that office, too. And you'd better bet that if something was off on his passport, his birth certificate, his background check...if ANYTHING even SUGGESTED he's not a U.S. Citizen...
Okay let me be blunt...
Let’s get REAL. This is a black man running for the highest office in the land and you’d better bet your bottom dollar that if he wasn’t REALLY a citizen, he’d have been out of the running LONG BEFORE NOW.
And then the issue of him dropping his middle name, Hussein. Are people serious? What about John Sidney McCain III? And it's funny. Some of the same folk were mad at Hillary for not dropping "Rodham" from her name. And let's not forget that NO ONE had a problem with Bill (William Jefferson Clinton, that is).
It's just all so nonsensical and a waste of time. People are grasping at straws now. And now there's some bogus story about Obama having to relinquish his nomination. Well, if you want the real truth...the real paper trail, here's a link to the official public records about this citizenship lawsuit:
The last time a judge actually ruled on any motion was 8/22/08 and the content was as follows:
The last motion received was 10/21/08 and is as follows:
Anyway, check out the site and the paper trail. I doubt that they actually missed any type of deadline because they filed a motion to dismiss yesterday.
I think there's some people who are just realizing that a Black man is heading right for the white house door. They just didn't see it coming. Now they are getting upset. I'm just praying that no weapons formed against Barack will prosper. And I'll be glad to have the election over so that Barack can get down to business as President.

I don't hear anyone asking John McCain about his birthright. This is nonsense and the matter wouldn't even come up if you (Earl) and the rest of your friends would admit it (the fact that Obama is Black). Yes I said it because I believe that the issue of race has alot to do with this. Let me sound the message loud and clear for you Brother Earl>>> get ready for the next President of the United States of America>>> President Barack Hussein Obama. Like it or yes!

Earl, I READ IT. I know what it SAYS. I didn't say it meant it anything. As a matter of fact, I thank you for helping to make my point in that it means NOTHING. It's a distraction and nothing more and the person or people levying this attack need to go sit their behinds down somewhere. To those people: a God-fearing, educated, intellingent civil servant black man is the next President of the United States of America-- DEAL WITH IT.
Blessings...

It's another ploy, to deter us from getting our first "Black President" Labels are waiting to be stuck on him, before, during and after. Do what many do at the grocery store...we don't always read labels! It's be over soon enough....

This has been one of the most polarizing, contentious presidential election that I have personally witnessed in my lifetime. Barring a total meltdown, we will be seeing the first African American president in this country's history. Unfortunately the jubilation will be short lived it America doesn't get the change that it needs. Winning is only the beginning. He will be staring at 8 years of BS that has put this country into a tailspin and it will NOT be cured overnight. I hope all of us supporters also have the patience to keep the faith while the job is taking time to be done.

My oldest daughter was born on the same island as Obama, and no problems at all. Our governor in California will not have any problem if he runs for president. This has already been proven!
One of my brothers was born in Maryland, but could not go into the Army because the court house where his birthcertificate was sent to burned downbefore it was albe to be offically recorded( this was in 1943). And, for all of you who are not aware of it the Supreme Court had to step in so that "this time around" John McCain could run against Obama, because McCain was not born on American soil.
Would this debate pass the 'discrimination' smell test if the matter is forced back before the Supreme Court about Obama...Non American borns are allowed into the Army so maybe this matter should be settled once and for all...

Me, I am just the opposit, I have always wondered when Hillary put the "Rodham" into her name why she did not use it before when Bill first ran for President? It really threw me for a loop when she began calling herself Hillary Rodham Clinton out of the blue as I had always know her as Hillary Clinton for so many years.

For got but John McCain was born in Panama where his father was stationed on a Military base in that country. I do not have the full detail of what the Supreme Court did but it was one of those right in and right out laws handed directly to them over aoo of the othre courts. This was when McCain won the Republican party. No mass media cry as then they just knew that McCain would be president.
Now what is all of this about Obama's birth certific. as a rule you need on to get married. A social security card, get in school in the first grade and so on and so forth, I must say this is a hell of a time to be finding the need to know abouot the birth place.
But that's politics. If it worked well and simp;e we'd call it some thing else, like simplle(smile) Hi Dee nice post.
