African-American Elders Day An elder is the bearer of the flame of truth and knowledge. They carry the history of our beginning to light the heavens, less we forget. On July 22, 2010, African-American Elders Day will have its birth celebration along with the tribute to our African ancestors. Honor and tribute will be given to our elders for the purpose of reinforcing our African value system of love and respect.
