Do you think online dating is a viable option in finding a potential mate?

I think it is ok. Some of us don't go to bars, so how would we meet good people. |

I met my husband online... I think you can get a general feel for a lot of things this way, such as his educational level (can he write a complete sentence, does he have good grammar, etc.). And if you are a busy, single mom, as Hithere stated, when do you have time to go out and meet someone? Of course online dating has it's challenges as well, as sometimes the person can be completely fictitious (fake picture, different gender, etc.). But at least you have control of deciding to meet them in person or not. It's better than speed dating or blind dates from my perspective. And starting online, gradually moving to phone conversations and then the first date, gives you ample time to get to know a person better. I say, don't knock it until you try it... |
