Principal Software Engineer - Remote (JN -102023-292151)
Location: 100% Remote Type: Direct-Hire, Full-Time Salary: $140k - $160k + 20% bonus + long-term incentives *3rd party subcontracting is NOT allowed. All applicants must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future* Considering candidates that currently reside in the following states: Arkansas California Colorado Florida Georgia Illinois Michigan Ohio Texas Responsibilities: - Develop high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code following established software architecture principles.
- Champion and implement test-driven development (TDD) and other robust engineering practices.
- Design and build RESTful APIs to support front-end applications.
- Develop and maintain web applications using major frameworks such as Vue.js, Node.js, and Bootstrap.
- Engage in architectural discussions and decisions, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Work closely with UX, product, and development teams to create world-class web applications.
- Mentor and guide other developers through pair programming and collaborative learning methods.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and trends, advocating for the adoption of new tools and practices.
- Implement CI/CD processes and tools to streamline development workflows.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications: - 8+ years of full stack development experience with a strong emphasis on solid engineering practices and architectural principles.
- Expertise in JavaScript, including ES6+ and Vue.js.
- Proficiency in Node.js
- Experience with MongoDB and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress, as well as Scrum/Agile methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment on AWS, along with APM tools like Datadog, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with a focus on knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
