Senior Project Accountant (JN -012025-386060)

A growing manufacturing company in the Baltimore County area is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Manage job costing for complex construction projects (categorization, recording, analysis, monitoring).
  • Oversee billings for complex accounts, ensuring compliance with contracts.
  • Monitor project budgets, process vendor invoices, and maintain financial health awareness.
  • Partner with project managers to provide financial insights.
  • Generate monthly reports with risk assessments and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare special financial analyses upon request.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting knowledge (Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of project accounting experience (construction industry a plus).
  • Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Superior written/verbal communication and ability to train junior staff.
  • Thrives under pressure, meets tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Adaptable and works independently with minimal supervision.
