Accounts Payable Specialist-Pleasant Hill/Concord-Hiring Immediately!

Location: 100% On-Site
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flex)

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in the East Bay. As part of the accounting team, you will play a crucial role in processing vendor invoices, working within our ERP system, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop within the construction and federal contracting industry, working alongside a dynamic team with global presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices through workflow for multiple entities and projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage foreign currency exchange transactions as needed
• Work within the CMiC construction ERP system or similar systems
• Perform data collection and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintain and reconcile accounts, addressing discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of financial data
• Collaborate with team members globally to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

• Successful experience in Accounts Payable processing
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong ownership of the AP process, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of tasks

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate or advanced skills required)
• Prior experience with CMiC or similar construction ERP systems
• Positive and professional attitude, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data
• Ability to support Gilbane's mission and values

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a construction/general contractor organization, with federal government contracting experience++.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
