Job Overview:
Ledgent Finance and Accounting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in Tampa, FL. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, providing detailed explanations for fluctuations.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads.
• Oversee tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate timely audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed schedules for fixed assets, including depreciation and amortization calculations.
• Support senior management with financial analysis, cost analysis, and other ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Mentor and train junior accountants, ensuring accurate and efficient accounting processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
