<dd><p>The purpose of this class is to perform advanced level duties in maintaining various accounting records for assigned College department of division.<br> <br><br></p></dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0;"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" id="isPasted"><strong><u>Bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline and three years of experience in finance or accounting require</u></strong>d. Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred. <strong>Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</strong>. Proficiency in Microsoft applications.</span></p><div style="text-align: center;"><br></div></dd>
<dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ol><li>Prepare, review, and analyze operating budgets.</li><li>Assist faculty and staff in revenue and expense monitoring.</li><li>Prepare various financial reports and statements in compliance with federal, county, and state regulations.</li><li>Oversee, monitor and/or control appropriations and expenditures, as required.</li></ol><br> </dd>
<dt><h2>Position Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: -0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li><span style="color: inherit">Prepare and distribute budget development and part-time associate spreadsheets for the annual operating budget, provide guidance to credit organization managers during completion and review and analyze submitted data.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Monitor and update position budgets and incumbent information to ensure accuracy and compliance.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Monitor hiring plan, RFR approval, RFR monitor with the VPs.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Prepare periodic position control reports for full time employees and update the position control system.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Maintain the annual operating budget system</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Develop reporting and analyze expenditures for part time associates.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Prepare standard and ad hoc budget reports for senior management.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Perform research and analysis as requested by senior management including trend analyses and budget variance analyses.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Serve as a liaison between Budget Office and the administrators in charge of the College credit organizations.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Prepare budget transfers and journal entries to ensure deficit coverage.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Prepare and analyze projections for full time salaries, part time and overtime, adjunct, utilities and other expenses as needed.</span></li></ol></dd>
