Business Studies - Adjunct Faculty

<dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt>
<dd><p>CCBC is the college of choice for over 50,000 students and 200 businesses each year — all with unique goals, strengths and requirements. We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.<br><br>Business Studies Adjunct faculty are needed to teach day (evening, weekend, and/or online) classes at the Community College of Baltimore County. Adjunct faculty will be expected to facilitate learning via preparation and delivery of instruction, cooperation with College support staff in timely submission of materials and grades as required and, coordination of activities with the Department Chair or Coordinator. Adjunct faculty are selected based on program needs and subject matter expertise of the applicant. Adjunct faculty are required to attend department meetings, participate in professional development related to classroom instruction and pedagogy, be available to students outside of class and, assist in maintaining program accreditation.</p></dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>A Master’s of Science degree in a Business related field or Masters of Business Administration </li><li>Two (2) years teaching experience</li><li>Special competence and three years in relevant academic or technical field</li><li>Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge</li><li>Prior college teaching experience preferred</li></ul><br>Pay Level: 1,085.00 per credit hour<br><br>Campus Locations: Essex, Catonsville & Owings Mills</dd>
<dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the program director and/or course coordinator</li><li>Abides by College wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct</li><li>Ensures instruction meets or exceeds standards established by ACBSP accreditation council</li><li>Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population</li><li>Adheres to the scheduled time of class/lab</li><li>Develops a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies</li><li>Ensures that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner</li><li>Assure that evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assessing the established course objectives</li><li>Monitors student performance on a regular basis and provides feedback within a reasonable timeframe to students</li></ol></dd>
