<dt><h2>Position Summary</h2></dt>
<dd><p>We seek an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics to teach a section of 4-credit Calculus I and two sections of a 1-credit Calculus Recitation course to undergraduate students. There may be opportunities to teach other courses, especially College Algebra I and College Algebra II. The instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging instruction that helps students learn quantitative concepts. Other responsibilities include:<br></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Create a syllabus detailing course policies</li><li>Create and maintain a course Canvas page</li><li>Keep student grades up to date on Canvas throughout the semester</li><li>Create class and homework assignments to reinforce course concepts</li><li>Create exams to assess student learning</li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.</li><li>Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure consistency and alignment of course content</li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students</li><li>Maintain compliance with all institutional, departmental, and safety policies</li></ul></dd>

<dt><h2>Experience and Education Required</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Master’s degree or higher in <strong>Mathematics</strong> or a closely related field</li><li>Classroom teaching experience required; college-level teaching experience preferred</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li></ul></dd>
<dt><h2>Required Skills and Qualifications</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Strong background in mathematics</li><li>Classroom teaching experience required; college-level teaching experience preferred</li><li>Experience using digital learning platforms (Canvas or similar)</li><li>Familiarity with active learning pedagogies, including group work, flipped classrooms, and student presentations is strongly preferred</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment</li></ul></dd>
