The successful candidate will advance the characterization of in vitro human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) as well as rodent models of neuropsychiatric diseases at a cellular and molecular levels to support our neuropsychiatry portfolio. This is a lab-based position as summer intern will spend most of their time in the lab planning, conducting, interpreting, and reporting experiments while interacting with an interdisciplinary team of scientists.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>You will be responsible for:</span></b></p><ul><li><span><span>Conduct and interpret in vitro experiments to characterize rodent and human iPSC-derived models of neuropsychiatric diseases</span></span></li><li><span><span>Contribute to internal meetings and through presentation of results</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ensure timely and accurate reporting and documentation of results in accordance with company guideline.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Consistently adhere to all company current compliance guidelines and policies.</span></span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p><p><b><span>Qualifications / Requirements</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited</span><span><span> University or</span></span><span> college pursuing a degree in psychology, neuroscience or related field at the time of internship</span></li><li><span><span>Candidate must be permanently authorized to work in the US, available in Summer of 2026 and able to work on-site full-time at assigned site location: La Jolla, CA for the whole duration of the internship.</span></span></li><li><span>Should be comfortable working individually (independently) as well as a part of a team.</span></li><li><span><span>Ability to think strategically and execute a plan effectively is strongly preferred.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Practical</span></span><span><span><u><span> </span></u></span></span><span><span>hands-on experience with cell culture and imaging techniques preferred.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Good analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.</span></span></li><li><span>Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills.</span></li><li><span>A minimum G.P.A. of 2.8 is strongly preferred.</span></li></ul><p></p><div><p><span><span>The expected pay range for this position is between $2</span><span>6</span><span>.</span><span>5</span><span>0 per hour and $5</span><span>9.0</span><span>0 per hour but will be based on<span> </span></span><span>candidate&#39;s</span><span><span> </span>program year, discipline,<span> </span></span><span>degree</span><span><span> </span>and/or experience.<span> </span></span><span>Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan.</span><span><span> </span>Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to<span> </span></span><span>40 hours</span><span><span> </span>per calendar year; for employees who<span> </span></span><span>reside</span><span><span> </span>in the State of Washington, up to<span> </span></span><span>56 hours</span><span><span> </span>per calendar year.
