We are putting innovation to work to improve people’s lives and we want YOU to be a part of it.Albemarle Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support rail operations at our Pasadena plant, ensuring efficient transportation scheduling, compliance, and seamless coordination across the supply chainWhat You Will Do<ul><li>Planning and Coordination: Develop transportation schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs.</li><li>Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints related to deliveries.</li><li>Cost Optimization: Analyze logistics costs and identifying opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising service quality.</li><li>Problem Resolution: Address issues such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or customs disputes to minimize disruptions.</li><li>Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipments in real-time using tracking systems and providing updates to stakeholders.</li><li>Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, while ensuring compliance with regulations.</li><li>Vendor and Carrier Management: Negotiate contracts with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics (3PL) partners.</li><li>Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, coordinating with warehouses to ensure proper storage conditions.</li><li>Some overtime work may be required</li><li>Able to work on call</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.</li><li>Technology Proficiency: Skilled in TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), ERP platforms, and data analytics tools.</li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of transportation and customs regulations.</li><li>Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze logistics costs and manage budgets effectively.</li><li>Communication: Clear and professional interaction with suppliers, carriers, and customers.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Expertise in resolving challenges such as shipment delays, damaged goods, and inventory issues.</li><li>Time Management: Efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing regulations, market conditions, and operational priorities.</li><li>Rail Operations: Familiar with rail regulations and rail car maintenance</li></ul>Required:<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field</li><li>CLTD (Certification in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution)</li></ul>#LI-JH2Benefits of Joining Albemarle<ul><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package</li><li>A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.</li></ul>We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
