Overnight Crisis Support Specialist

As a Crisis Counselor at Boys Town, youll be a lifeline for individuals in crisisoffering calm, compassionate, and solution-focused support via phone, text, or chat. Help guide others through difficult moments and make an impact from day one.

Starting Pay: $17.50$18.50/hr (plus shift differential if applicable)
Full-Time or Part-Time: Both Available
Shifts: This is a 24/7 hotline so shifts may be available throughout the day.

At least one weekend day is required for all counselors. Some holidays will be required as well (at 2x pay).

What Youll Be Doing:
Responding to calls, texts, chats, or emails from people in crisis
Providing short-term counseling, de-escalation, and problem-solving support
Offering referrals and resources when necessary
Accurately documenting interactions and maintaining confidentiality

Who Were Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelors preferred; required for some programs)
At least 21 years old
Computer literate, able to take notes while talking to callers

Physical & Safety Requirements:
Sedentary office work with standard computer use
Minimal physical risks in a typical administrative setting
