This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about developing people while driving operational excellence.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Manager, Manufacturing Operations – 2nd shift<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Decatur, AL<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><p><b>Lead & Develop Teams</b></p><ul><li><p>Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to Team Leaders and production associates.</p></li><li><p>Foster a positive, inclusive culture aligned with company values and HR policies.</p></li><li><p>Deliver clear expectations and ongoing feedback to strengthen performance and engagement.</p></li><li><p>Manage staffing, including shift coverage, absenteeism planning, and internal postings.<br /> </p></li></ul><p><b>Drive Operational Excellence</b></p><ul><li><p>Own area performance metrics across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.</p></li><li><p>Align team goals with broader value stream objectives and communicate progress effectively.</p></li><li><p>Oversee daily production start-up, line staffing, and shift handoffs to ensure seamless operations.</p></li><li><p>Utilize production boards and performance data to identify issues and drive resolution.<br /> </p></li></ul><p><b>Champion Lean & Continuous Improvement</b></p><ul><li><p>Ensure standardized work is deployed, followed, and continuously improved.</p></li><li><p>Coach teams on Job Instruction methods, cross-training, and skills development.</p></li><li><p>Lead root cause analysis and aggressive problem-solving to eliminate inefficiencies.</p></li><li><p>Monitor scrap trends and partner with Quality and Engineering to improve First Pass Yield and reduce Service Call Rates.</p></li><li><p>Support cross-functional initiatives to reduce waste and improve both short- and long-term performance.<br /> </p></li></ul><p><b>Promote a Strong Safety Culture</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead by example in safety compliance and safe work practices.</p></li><li><p>Conduct and close accident investigations within required timelines.</p></li><li><p>Drive accountability for PPE compliance, safety contacts, and safe start participation.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related <b>OR </b>5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (i.e., manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials, quality, procurement, fulfillment or related functional area)</p></li><li><p>Position supports<b> 24/5 manufacturing facilities. Occasional off shift, on call and weekend work is required.</b></p></li><li><p>Experience in manufacturing processes with exposure to lean manufacturing techniques, or equivalent education and experience. </p></li><li><p>Six Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, workout and other change mechanisms.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven methodology, analytical methods, schedule achievement, teamwork.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience working with individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve operational results and positive employee relations.</p></li><li><p>Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.</p></li><li><p>Must be competent in computers, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and ERP systems.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work Environment: </b></p><ul><li><p>Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment.</p></li><li><p>Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds.</p></li><li><p>Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.</p></li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Our Culture</b></span></h2><p style="text-align:left"><span>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
