Learn more at <a href="https://www.jnj.com/medtech" target="_blank">https://www.jnj.com/medtech</a></p><p></p><p><b>Principal Duties</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Generation of equipment designs which meet manufacturing, safety , and performance requirements. Designs include new tooling, fixtures, and modification/upgrades for new and existing products.</p></li><li><p>Providing technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues.</p></li><li><p>Analyze designs using solid models and drawings with Computer Aided Design (“CAD”) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (“GD&amp;T”), and stack-up analyses.</p></li><li><p>Co-ordinate activities for team members</p></li><li><p>Required to take a lead role in the design of the equipment from concept to deployment.</p></li><li><p>Ensure documentation/drawing standards for equipment meet company SOP requirements.</p></li><li><p>As part of the design team, this person is be expected to work closely with both internal and external specialists to complete equipment related projects.</p></li><li><p>Actively participate in team and plant continuous improvement through participation in Value Improvement Projects and Lean Production Process Projects etc.</p></li><li><p>Ability to critically review engineering designs and ensure adherence to company design and development guidelines and SOPs.</p></li><li><p>Uses experience to make judgments and propose different solutions outside of set parameters. Using prior experience and on-the-job training to solve more challenging tasks.</p></li><li><p>Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s  Degree in mechanical or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in equipment design or tooling</p></li><li><p>Proficient in the use of CAD software (SolidWorks) to design &amp; draft mechanical assemblies</p></li><li><p>Good communication skills combined with an analytical minded, critical thinking,  imaginative and creative approach to problem solving.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to lead projects and mentor technical teams</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously</p></li><li><p>Proficient in the use of SAP</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of PDM system and GD&amp;T Best Practices.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives. </p></li><li><p>Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members</p></li><li><p>Experience working  in medical device manufacturing environment is a plus.</p></li></ul><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401k).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year. Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year. Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
