Description

Under supervision the Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. Responsible for reporting rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow. Interacts directly with physicians regarding the interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes in patterns. Maintains a safe, hazard free and clean environment which facilitates quality patient focused care.

We are hiring for Telemetry Technician position in Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, Variable shift, 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required with-in six (6) months of hire



• 6 months of experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Medical terminology course



• Coursework/Training: Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course



• 6 months of experience monitoring ECGs in an area that has the capability to monitor at least 16 patients.
