Q&A With Abdullah Dawud Bryant

What is your passion in life
"Learning, in all it's forms; first hand, vicariously, through the written form, but learning is my passion, it's something that no matter where your life travels take u, u can always learn from it."

Interviewed by Maurice Muhammad 02/28/11

Tell me something interesting that everyone should know about you?
"Ive survived the streets of NY{Bed Stuy} and made it in the 'Windy city',I've been everything from a street soldier, black activist, distributor of unlicensed pharmacutical products, survived a tough life, but I am a better man for it all, because I made a change, Allah is Akbar. Each episode helped me to be a better person, strange as it may seem, now I work hard at teaching these young ones out here to not get caught up in the glitze and glamour of the streets."

Interviewed by Zakiyyah Ali 02/28/11

Tell me something interesting that everyone should know about you?
"In the words of Rakim"I aint no joke", I feel I have been there done that, seen it all, and did it all, now I have but one thing left to do, give the rest of my life to my Illah,my Rabb, my Creator. Trust me sis, I lead a life u could write 2 books on."

Interviewed by melody gordon 02/28/11

What are your interests?
"Raising the level of consciousness in my community, writing that great novel, inviting more of my family n friends to Islam, and communicating with the people, not frauds, phonies , but real down to earth people."

Interviewed by Siebra Muhammad 02/28/11

If you could save one person in the world who would it be and why?
"That's a thought provoking question, n I can't answer it fairly, because I have two son's and two daughter's, and Allah know's I love 'em all dearly, so I could'nt choose one over the other, but as a whole, it would be them. Who would u save?"

My BlackInAmerica.com Profile
Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
For one I am African American and I feel that each and every one of us must have a concern for the next brother or sister if we want to attain some kind of social harmony. U can't turn your back and think that the problems that face each and everyone of us will just dissapear one day, we must all work towards a solution. I think Michael said it best 'they don't really care about us'.
