Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
I am deeply concerned about the increasing devastation and destruction of the black family in America and our seeming inability to take it upon ourselves to connect with God to realize his purpose for our lives. Statistics bear out the fact that Blacks represent the largest percentage of people incarcerated in America and that the rate of incarceration of black women is nearly twice that of men. Further, nearly 50% of the children whose parents are incarcerated will be incarcerated themselves before they reach age 17. Also most of the AA women who have been incarcerated have children at home under age 17. What does this say about the future of the Black Family? We truly are the ones we've been waiting for.

Hello, I hope this message isn't too abrasive, just wondering if you'd do me the favor of checking out my new album at www.je-music.com. I'm a 20 year old saxophonist from MD. The album is a blend of gospel, jazz, and r&b, and has received great reviews from luminaries such as Kirk Whalum and Marcus Miller. If this message offends in any way, please accept my most humble apologies...just trying to get word out about the album. Thanks for the time... --Joe www.je-music.com
