Want to be involved in the arts media, preferably through film, but also possibly through writing and journalism.

Associate Producer on Documentary Short "The Grey Movie", sponsored by the Cinereach Foundation and advised by filmmaker Albert Maysles.

Most Memorable Moment:

First semester, parties, traveling abroad, school-sponsored festivals and concerts, being awarded the Longman Award for outstanding writer, working for the campus television station, making the Dean's List for final semester, graduation.

Why Are You Concerned About Black America:

Within the nation's black youth (essentially my generation), there is a lack of interest, knowledge or concern with regards their own people's history, an awareness as to how that history affects the African American community today, and the issues which will undoubtedly shape our people's future. I am hoping that with websites such as this, the African American youth can begin to purge themselves of the negative aspects of the culture which are glorified by the media and subsequently internalized by a generally apathetic and disaffected young population. There are young people out there that are striving to make a change, but they cannot do it alone, and sites like this can be a great place for them to begin to build a community of like-minded individuals.
