Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
We seem to be preoccupied with we deserve, rather than how we are going to get it and take it, if necessary. We as a people need to show more respect for each other and work together towards our goals instead of in separate small groups. We could learn from some of the immigrants that came after us, drawing more strength from uniting as a group and carving out our place in society and not assmilating into the "melting pot sham". America is more like a mosaic of different individual tiles. We need to own our quadrant that allows us to be part of the picture but to be individuals culturally. Finally, my last concern is about the lack of a professional and social succession plan. Where are our young business and thought leaders who don't have a record deal? Where are their mentors? And why is the biggest incubator of young black professional talent corporate america and not black owned and operated firms? How do we change that?
