About   (request update)
My Interview Question
What is the greatest lesson that life has taught you?
Current Whereabouts:
I'm into many things currently.... Spiritually - I attended one of the most respected Baptist church in Atlanta under the leadership of man where his only goal is to teach the word of God directly from the bible. He wants us to grow spiritually and mentally. Personally - I am a big advocate of doing volunteer work. For the last 6yrs I have volunteered with one of the best volunteer groups here in Atlanta. In the past I've volunteered at Shelters for Single Women and Children. I've gone to tutor kids in the projects while there parents were receiving counseling. I've assisted with the mayor in providing food, shelter, health aid to the Katrina Victims when they arrived to Atlanta to make sure they got settled and received the medical and physical care that they needed. Currently I'm volunteering by preparing food for those homeless individuals who have nothing to eat. We prepare the meals while volunteer drivers go into the communities and deliver the meals. Educationally – As I mentioned earlier I’m working on completing my Bachelor’s Degree in marketing.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My Life Aspiration is to someday achieve my dream of running my own marketing or creative services business. Providing a home for my family which is healthy, loving, encouraging and blessed. I would like to start a program that encourages people to give of their time not necessarily their money, in helping those others who are less fortunate. This is one of the soft stops in my heart.

My BlackInAmerica.com Profile
Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
I am concerned about Black America because we have to pass the torch to the generation to follow. Our slavery ancestors carried the burden for us that many of us today take for granted. I feel we need to get it together for our children and grandchildren. Many of the "issues" that we have today are serious, unfortunately we've lost our Dr.King of that generation and we are left to fend for ourselves. No one, wants to step to the plate. When they do for example Cornel West, Bill Cosby and Barack Obama they are ridicule by their own. Sisters & Brothers we have to get it together.

Etana, what a bio! I would have never thought you were in your 30's by looking at your youthful picture. I see that you bounce back nicely, after your ordeal with that monster (ex-husband). Keep on pushing and setting that example for the ladies coming up behind you. I hope you haven't giving up on men, because that would be a lose for my gender, truly. Strong women with goals are not so easy to locate. But I guess women could say the same thing. Thanks for sharing.
