About   (request update)
Name is david as you may already know. I'm currently 19 and attending UC San Diego. I've lived all my life as a jazz trumpeter, ever since the age of 6. My brother and I will be coming out with a smooth jazz album called "Chill Zone" in early August and be having a premier concert in September. I'm really into tuner cars and I currently own a 2002 Celica GT (trading it in for a 350Z soon). One of my biggest aims in life is to become a success simply because I am black and that right there usually implies failure. I am very conscious of my image and what I do because I do not want to be seen in the same light as most african americans. I want to disprove all the stereotypes and that is my biggest motivation in life. Don't really have anything else to say. My aim is Davology101, if any1 wants to reach me.

Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
Black America, for the most part, does not have its priorities in the right places. We are more interested in things that will yield us attention such as cars with huge rims or a sound system louder than the next guy or being apart of a gang that has an unproductive and disappointing excuse for its very existence. Not enough of us are concerned with the things that actually matter such as an education, starting a business, etc. Furthermore, this leads to the lack of appropriate role models for our black youth which only exacerbates the problem. The real problem lies in the solution I believe. There is no definite, tangible way to reverse the trend. We cannot just push a button and make things turn around for Black America. All we can do is try and make our people aware of the problem and to change is up to the individual. Black America, for the most part I must add, has proven time and time again to be very ignorant and ignorance usually leads to arrogance. This arrogance is the quality that must be overcome and until that is overcome, we as a people cannot rise. How do you make so many arrogant people set in their ignorant ways of life become humble, hard working people? Thats the problem I'm concerned about. All we can do is tell them about it. The rest is their freedom of choice.
