Life & Professional Aspirations:
To be a great Christian to God, role model for my children, lover and friend to my husband. I am currently working on starting my own company, making baskets. I am also studying for the GMAT to get my masters in Hospitality Management.

The bus rides home with all of my friends. Prom Night. Music class with Mr. Schime. Door decorating contest at Christmas time.

Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
My concern is that in the future there will be no Black in America. What I mean.... The television and media seem to be depicting what "Black" really is and all of our children and even adults are taking these images as who they are. In real life, we are not all rappers, actors, models and basketball players. We were not birthed from MTV, BET, or Def Jam Records. Now I don't mind having these things as entertainment however, we need to draw a line somewhere. There has to be a balance of family's teaching children and even other family's what it means to be "Black in America." One of the greatest traditions that Africans hand down to their children is folktales and "stroytime." This will allow the family time together without the television, laptop and cellphone. We need to get back to a place where we have so much TRUE pride in ourselves that it can not be contained and comes bursting out at the seams for all of America to see.
