About   (request update)
What makes me special is that i'm unlike anyone one person on this earth. Everything I stand for and believe in has a purpose. I'm an educated black woman who believes in preservation of morality, sense of self awareness who is connected to my family and my community. I will make my lifes purpose a credit to society and not a debit. I believe in individuality and what it means to know who you are and to never let anyone take that away from you. I come from a long line of educated Cape Verdean Americanand African American lineage. People who aimed to do more in life than to just sit by and watch the world spin, the season's change and let evolution pass them by. What makes me special is that I believe in myself, my family and my GOD. Tthrough him and only him am I able to completely have an understanding of what it means to appreciate the gift of life. And to not misinterpret that as just a privilege of the living with no regard for the past or disregard to the preservation of our future. What makes me special is these are my thoughts with no interference of contamination. just a mind that is used as a tool to gain power and happiness with the intent of passing it on to those less fortunate.

My BlackInAmerica.com Profile
Why Are You Concerned About Black America:
I am concerned about Black America because it seems as if The Black Family is becoming more scrutinized by the habits of those who no longer believe in the preservation of self. Black women are dying everyday with the HIV virus. The main cause is living with men who are not honest and aren't smart enough to use proctection when commiting adultery. Like the communication line is not what it used to be. Much younger and more careless individuals having sex before their time. Not having sufficent education in the practices of early pregnancy and what it means to give up living your life to raise another. Young girls are becoming young women much earlier than I ever remember. Causing their bodies to grow up faster than their minds. I've seen 12 and 13 year old minority girls pregnant. Not even out of Middle School and Junior High School before having their first baby shower. Where are the parents and the grandparents that were around when I was young. At least where are the morals that self preservation could of and should of passed on. It seems that now more than ever the Black Family has more obstacles to deal with as well as a much more damaging perception of harsher realities being lived by those in the lower to middle income based communities. Where will we be in 10 years if young girls continue having three and four kids before their High School Graduation? Where will we be in 5 years if the communication between husbands and wives causes us to distrust each other. Having sex with men behind the family name, lying to those around them. Or for Black women to continue finding themselves victims of their habits looking past the real and into deciet to find comfort in denial. When will we find it necessary to preserve our heritage. The heritage our ancestors slved out in the hot sun for 400 years in conditions no human being should be subjected to. The heritage our grandparents were hosed down, and hung for. Was it all for nothing? does it now mean nothing? I am a strong believer in people being true to themselves and knowing what it means to love your body and not abuse it. I also am an open minded individual and understand that people enjoy doing things that some people can't accept. But I love everyone and support being true to oneself no matter what your race, sex, sexual orientation or religious beliefs may be. To use your brain for the bettering of mankind and not to worsen the morality of it is what I believe in. I'm concerned about Black America because it seems that no one cares and it just seems to be getting worse even with all the progress we've made.
