I read some articles of a supposed offensive remark Ayman al-Zawahri made, well I am appalled, if in fact it's true he said them.
Story from MSNBC. For Ayman al-Zawahrito to quote our Brother Malcolm X is disrespectful in the context in which it was used. To call President Elect Barack Obama (along with Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice) "house negros" is more disrespectful of another human being that wants a better life for ALL American citizens.
We have more people from the Middle East, coming into our poor Black neighborhoods, who claim to be Muslim, but at the same time, are killing us, via our young people, our mentally ill (alcoholics), etc. These stores sell to us what they wouldn't sell to their own family members. My then 15 year old son and his friends were easily buying skinny cigars and beer from the gas station down the street when I was at work. You would never see their wives, daughters or sisters in these stores. There is always a sale on cigarettes, beer, pork skins, on and on and on.
President Elect Barack Obama was elected by Americans. Not just Black Americans, but all Americans, all races. We are no longer in the 1960's. Times have changed. We still have problems that most definitely need to be addressed, but now with this new found vested interest, this new responsibility, we ALL have a stake in our future.
We are taught, no matter your religion, practice it to the betterment of yourself and others. Want for your brother what you want for yourself. If you were my true brother, would you try to sale me something that would shorten my lifespan, or kill me instantly? I think not.
I "converted" to Islam a few years ago because I loved hearing a (then) local minister at the time that "Islam is Peace."
