Follow up: Money for the Holidays (2950 hits)

Whatz up y'all. On November 11th I posted a gut check (Part XXI- Get Rich Quick) and promised follow-ups...so here's the first.

QUICK BACKGROUND:

I was asked by a BIA member to join a group exploring the ability of building wealth by gifting. For a small one-time $25 fee, they promised to grow my investing to over $75K…IN 30-DAYS.

Well, it has been a few days and guess what...NOT A DIME! I did get a few phone calls but not one penny. As promised I'll wait the full 30-days and keep y'all posted. Maybe it just takes a little time for the $75K to build-up and make it through the system.

Stay tuned for more updates.

In the meantime, I thought I'd ask you all about other scams that at going around. For example: I got a check in the mail for $4700 that ask me to cash it and Western Union about $3500 to Nigeria (keep the rest for shopping). I'm pretty sure that's scam:0)

How about you...what have you heard or seen that we need to share?
More gut check coming soon. If you get a change, check out my new book on Amazon.com: Is Barack Black or White?

I too have been led to a possible scam on this site. A young woman claiming to be in a concentration camp in Africa, who lost her parents and her father who worked for some large company had left her some money in the Swiss bank. She is in this camp however she has this minister who helps her connect to the outside world. She requested for me to help her by her sending me this money and putting it in my bank account then I could wire the money back to her. I was given the account number and other information I needed to return the money to her. I had to question......how is it that in a concentration camp you have access to a computer? Why would you trust a total stranger online (did I mention an overseas person) to cash a check for you and you to deposit (did I mention that it was to the tune of 5.0 million US dollars)? Now once this is done, she would be able to get out of the concentration camp.
I don't know about you, but if a person could get away from a concentration camp to use a computer, then I am sure you could get to the bank.
