Come on face it! You hear the famous name of authors flying all over the place! What have they done that some writers and authors are missing out on? If I could ask I'd tell their little secret. There is something in a name! But then what if you're not born with a fancy name? You'll find that the most famous of persons has and alias. Could that be one of the key to all their success? I'm sure I would get a very interesting and full complete story. If I were to ask them about their name, and their real birth name, almost half of them would say they changed their name. No matter what though, "You never forget your name!"
Many popular authors have for sure changed their names, or they have chosen use an alias. I even use a name that's not my birth name, but a name I spoke from in sleep. It's an long story, and I'll have to write about that on another time. A name can make or break you, but if you are choosing to write under another be cautious in selecting one that can be easily said, easy to recognize, and long remembered. Shakespeare wrote about the rose..."What's in an name. A rose by any other name would be just as sweet!" I know what ever flower that is loved, I believe the rose is one that is most given, and most enjoyed by millions. A rose known by it's name and it's savor! So change your name? No, I not telling you to do that, only if you are considering writing under a new name, try to make it one that will take you far....and a bit farther! It's perfectly befitting to be named World's Greatest Mom, and that's for Dads too! I've found I like being called that name a whole lot!
