Let me give you some food for thought. When you look at the night sky, especially when you are away from the city lights, and see the vast number of stars, you can't even begin to count them. Each star is a sun, just like ours, surrounded by planets orbiting it, drinking in its warmth and energy. If around each sun there exists a planet capable of supporting life as we know it, just like ours. Now, remember that we are talking about the stars that we can see, the ones on our side of the planet, take into account the stars on the other side of the planet and apply the same scenario. That means that every star we see is a sun with at least one planet that can support life. That is a lot of planets with life on them. Mathematically speaking, it is highly improbable that in our vast, ever-expanding universe, that we are the only intelligent life in it. It is believed by many people that we have been and are being visited by other forms of life in the universe. Thinking about the large number of reported UFO sightings and abductions, can we truly say that we are alone or all those people, me included, are lying and that what was seen are top-secret government programs? Now, here's a curve. Suppose that there are planets that can support life in a different form, having different needs to support life. On our planet we breathe air, a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, etc.. On those planets, suppose they breathe helium. Now, we have even more planets that could have life on it. Can you honestly say that we are alone?

I agree. We know from our own planetary history that microorganisms began first. It isn't a stretch to assume that this would be the same process elsewhere. You can do a search of Cassini and Huygens and find out about what they have discovered so far through the joint efforts of NASA, ESA and the Italian Space Agency. From what I've found out so far is that this moon has many of the building blocks needed for forming life. And just think, this is just in our solar system and it is believed that there are between 200 to 400 billion stars and billions of solar systems in the Milky Way Galaxy alone. It is also believed that there are billions of galaxies in our universe. How about another curve. Suppose there is another dimension, called time, that exists in the same space but at a different time. Basically, try to imagine that since it takes our planet 1 year to make one orbit, each day the planet is in a different place. Now, if that is true, then we could assume that there could be another planet Earth one hour, one day, one week, etc ahead and behind our current location in that orbit.

Y'all know Christian folk don't want to hear this kinda talk!!! They only want to discuss things that are in the Bible! The Bible said God created HEAVEN and EARTH -- it ain't say NOTHIN 'bout other planets! Besides, as Martin Luther believed, the sun evolves around Earth b/c there is no other besides heaven above us and hell below us. Oh, and it's flat, too ... that's the only way Gabriel's angels can blow their trumpets from the "four corners of the Earth" to alert everyone of the second coming of JC -- and if it's not flat how every eye be lifted to see His glorious return at the same time??? Humm?????????? This kinda talk gone git challs in troubles! Don't go gittin' too smart for da Lawd!

Craig, you make me laugh. How about we say to "those" Christians, "Why couldn't God have created all those other planets, dimensions and etc., also?" Maybe that will take the pressure off, lol.

Indeed the universe is vast, I tend to think-- "If there is other life to be found, we may discover they'll find us before we find them." I guess?

With all of the UFO sightings that have had both documented as well as undocumented as well as those people that have claimed to have been abducted, they may already done so, and may, quite possibly, be among us.
