Invitation to speak at the 2009 Black History Internet Book and Art Fair
Greetings!
EDC Creations and the Sankofa Literary Society will host the 2nd annual Black History Month Internet Book and Art Fair to bring together avid readers, book clubs, educators, business leaders, musicians, editors, authors, book stores, publishing professionals, life coaches, community leaders and concerned citizens. Please join us for 42 nights of fun, wisdom, fellowship, and book previews, as well as author interviews. You can participate nightly from the comforts of your home! The event is held totally online with nightly panel discussions on the Black Authors Network radio show, blog seminars, live readings from new book releases, community town hall meetings and open mic poetry nights. During the day, you can network on the official event blog with other readers and promote your ventures.
You are invited to take part in this historic 6-week event discussing your book or business. You can bring others as well to the chat room. Please take a look at our nightly themes and let us know if you would like to be a featured panelist or co-host a workshop on the official blogspot. These are the general themes; there will be more defined topics for each night of discussion. If you are interested in taking part in the program, please email Ella Curry at: edc_dg@yahoo.com
We would like for you to contribute to the event one of 3 ways:
1. Join us on a nightly panel discussion-- you can select the evening from our themes
2. Co-host a online workshop on our BAN event blog with 3 other speakers
3. Contribute short articles for the Black Pearls Magazine by EDC Creations
For more information and to view the nightly themes, click below.
www.profilesinblack.blogspot.com We are interested in interviewing 80 entrepreneurs, magazines, newspapers, women business owners, editors, professional writers, authors, poets, bookclubs, magazine publishers, film makers, and emerging writers in our Black Pearls Magazine, on the official BAN Radio Blog and on the nightly Black Authors Network radio programs.
The program will feature book previews, live readings, outreach programs for victims of domestic violence, teens with personal issues, and people with HIV/AIDS. This invitation is for you and anyone that you think will bring the Gift of Knowledge to the event. Share it with your network too!
Written interviews for the Black Pearls Magazine can be obtained by contacting me at: edc_dg@yahoo.com with your interest. Email me if you need more information or would like to become a sponsor for the event at: edc_dg@yahoo.com.
Our theme is "Give the Gift of Knowledge." We seek to bring together our modern day Griots to share with us the history of our people and to lead us into the future. Are you ready? Do you want to help us prepare an archive of African American legacies for your children?
This is an open, community forum for all races and cultures. We will help create the very foundations of change by exercising unity and generosity. Please share this email with your network too!
Forgive me if this is a duplicate email. My intentions are good and I do apologize. If you are not an author or business owner, please share this email with others. Pass this on to your network. Join us in Celebrating Black History 365 days a year!
Happy Reading,
