How are the New Year's Resolutions coming along? (451 hits)

Well I managed to do the health detox, and internal cleansing-I stay prayerful almost every day by reading the Word from different sources..now in February I was to start the exercise..already--I am failing miserably--I tried my Yoga and decided that obviously I am out of tune big time and rather than go through the pain my bed looked more inviting!

It is obvious to me, that I don't want to do it--and I have to come up with a strategy. So I am going the nutritional way, if you feel good and have energy you are more predisposed to exercise. I don't want to go swimming at the Y, I don't want to jump up and down, I don't even want to stretch--so there must be a resistance of some sort..I don't see my reaching my goal by June--and worse I don't think I really care--perhaps I need to pare it down to 4 stretches, goodness can I handle that???

I think that what has happened is that in doing my research on foods, and water--it has become apparent, that all that we have been taught is not the only way to tone and lose lbs. The information on our poisoned food supply has really taken me for a loop--and the difficulty in getting the right ph balanced water without going to exotic, organic out of the way shopping areas is a barrier.

I promised myself to review my resolutions quarterly . That means I have given myself 60 days to exercise everyday( I even gave myself a reprieve in January! )-it's not happening..I am kind of stuck on this one..how are yours coming along? and any suggestions?

Peace and Prosperity To You Sister,

Personally, I am naturally skinny and in overall good health, so I never had problems with my weight. I'm glad to hear that you are working on your dietary and exercise habits, and I know it's excruciating pain (my mother is struggling with her diet and exercising as well) but please take The Honorable Elijah Muhammad's fast into consideration.

Your Sister In Spirit,

Siebra

I'm doing it Sis, I started out with My Office Garage and trying to keep ongoing and pressing forward.
I give credit where due by the way, keep up the great work, I commend you for sharing and what you are trying to do.
It takes boldness and courage to share for the betterment of other people.
Proverbs 24:7 is about a person who is not perfect but for the good in them, they keep getting back up, move forward, step backwards, but the constant motion is overall forward... That's how folk learn to walk. The type of person this scripture is describing is doing this for good reasons and God shares it...

Mr.Hemmans? You are quite an encourager--and a spiritually based one, love your feedback as it helps to keep me going. Thank you for taking the time to assist. Yes, it is as you say--and it shall be-- apparently until we take our last breath. May God continue to favor you and your family.

Marta, as I have asked myself to be more patient with others and allow them to catch up with me in over coming their resistance to remaining 'ignorant' about how thinking for your self is to become "free" / 'independant' / gain self-esteem...

I must confess, I am failling in this so far, but I am still trying to not push so much(smile)
