Is It Me, Or Have the Republicans Lost Their Mind? (726 hits)

Is it me, or have the Republicans lost their minds?

Just the other day, Arizona Senator John McCain questioned President Barack Obama on the upgrading of his private helicopter. To make matters worse, many Republican governors contend that they will not accept stimulus money because "there are too many strings attached."

It's understandable that Republicans, namely the more conservative ones, aren't going to agree with many of President Obama's practices, but in a weak economy, who in their right mind would refuse federal dollars.

Enough with the political posturing! We need to prod our elected leaders to restore out faith in them by allowing us to see them working together to right a sunken ship.

What do you think? I look forward to reading your responses.

I heard about this and when I did the math for that Gov. in Louisiana ---he's only refusing like 2.5% of the money. I guess these people are just playing politics as usual with the American people being left to suffer. We'll see what will happen once they come up for re-election.

As American’s we must be clear of the fact that there are those who would like the days of slavery (white and black) to return. Although we have a democratic government, the powers that control the nation do not believe in this philosophy, “By the People and for the People”. They are more in line with an Aristocratic way of life in which they should be served rather than to serve the American people.

It appears we may be headed for another American Revolution, because those who are of the Confederate (States Right) mind set, are now in National positions of authority and power, which is no longer relegated to the South or behind the Mason Dixon line. They understood that in order for them to regain what they once had it would be necessary for them to spread their way of thinking throughout the United States. That it would be necessary to infiltrate all aspects of the governing body system, such as the police, fire department, judicial system, education, business, media, medical and all areas of service providing.

We have to understand and realize that the Confederacy did not go away, in fact its members made a promise that “The South Shall Rise Again”. We as African Americans have been duped into thinking that the Constitution, which states that “All Men Are Created Equal”, means what it says. Remember, our ancestors were in chains when this was written and it was almost 100 years before the Emancipation Proclamation. On this date in 1787, the Three-fifths Compromise was enacted. The “Three-fifths Compromise” allowed a state to count three fifths of each Black person in determining political representation in the House. The Three-fifths Compromise would not be challenged again until the Dred Scott case in 1856.

Let us not be confused in thinking that the moral fiber of America has changed. The moral fiber, and that is the deeper strands of what controls and manipulates America, has no morals, just self-interest. White Supremacy is still the major entity in all-global equations of human existence. It must be factored into all aspects of any progressive movement. To pretend otherwise is to lie down and concede defeat or to be more graphic, put your grandchildren’s head in a noose and watch them be strung up.
Get the picture!

Brother Jeffery as soon as I can stop laughing, Iwill put in my two cent worth as related to the' Conservative party'...

Actually I live to enjoy every question that anyone from the Republican side of the party and even their reporters asking : the President, his treasury secetrary, his Whitehouse press seceratry any thing, because they all REGRET coming up with the bull---t idea in question form then ask these three to answer them.

Please note that any "addiction" is hard to kick. The Conservatives are addicted to the Bushs, the lobby, wall street fighting their battles for them. This party behavior-addiction has to be farther reduced-replaced in two years by way of bring up this out of date "one note" tax cuts and automatically going against the poor and minoritys as the only cure. An addiction must be fought against each and every day (as we do on this site)not every two, four years with election campaing promises that are never kept that is before now...(smile) because C-H-A-N-G-E is HERE today!!!!!

Hey Jen, did you see the governor of La.'s Republicans reply to President Obama's speech tonight. either he forgot about his saying he would turn down the unemployment money for the package or though better after seeing all of those Republicans agreeing with and trying to get photo ops with Mr. Obama before and after...I can not wait to see how they try to get pass them saying our President is right about trying to help Main Street and not Wall Street any more.

Washington, D.C. and it's BORN AGAIN Republicans. What a laugh on them who must move on to life after 'tax cuts"(smile)

...and the Communist manifesto says the Communism will replace Capitolism, so what is your point? But, then the Conservatives are saying SOCIALISM are they not...I wonder why? Hopefully soon some will begin to realize that we have a president, those who support him 100%, with a memory of slavery and this is a POSITIVE for the future therefore we must move on past slavery / tax cuts, the tokens of the: Palin(gender) and the Steeles, Jindals(skin and ethnic)etc.

Mr. Rico which office do you hold in the House or the Senate that you refer to the 'All Republicans'?
